    About
Rush, as he is sometimes known, is a self-taught artist who first honed his skills through personal projects for friends and family. Those projects and his compulsive need to always be doing something creative have gained him status over the years as an illustrator and fine artist. His obsessive attention to detail comes from his twenty-plus years working in advertising photography interpreting the infinite details and ideas from ad people into outstanding photo images. His imaginative, witty, and humorous illustrations come from a mysterious place in his own head.

Illustrations are customized to suit the unique character of the ad campaign or business it represents. Special care is given to imbue each image with originality, charm, and the magical ability to generate millions of dollars for the client.

Paintings on Furniture depict favorite and familiar toys, animals and objects from a child’s actual home and environment and very likely some imaginary things, too.

How it works: It starts by the client’s filling out a questionnaire of what interests the child most. Rush then makes snap shot photographs of the little rascal and his/her stuff for reference. The specific items to be featured are made into thumbnail sketches composed on an outline drawing of the furniture piece to be painted upon. Clients may then review the concepts and give approval (and yes, personal opinions) before Rush begins painting. Finally, each piece is given at least five coats of water-based Polyurethane for durability. Cost is determined by the size of the piece, its complexity, and the number of painted illustrations. These are heirlooms to be coveted by you, your children, their children . . . ad infinitum. They’re suitable for environments from nurseries to formal rooms. Enjoyment is nearly guaranteed.
