Paintings on Furniture depict favorite and familiar toys, animals and objects from a child’s actual home and environment and very likely some imaginary things, too.
How it works: It starts by the client’s filling out a questionnaire of what interests the child most. Rush then makes snap shot photographs of the little rascal and his/her stuff for reference. The specific items to be featured are made into thumbnail sketches composed on an outline drawing of the furniture piece to be painted upon. Clients may then review the concepts and give approval (and yes, personal opinions) before Rush begins painting. Finally, each piece is given at least five coats of water-based Polyurethane for durability. Cost is determined by the size of the piece, its complexity, and the number of painted illustrations. These are heirlooms to be coveted by you, your children, their children . . . ad infinitum. They’re suitable for environments from nurseries to formal rooms. Enjoyment is nearly guaranteed.
